City is weird, but it's my Metropolis/Gotham. It's a big playground for me to put villains and heroes in, just to see what happens. ^_^

I like Su too. Just wish I could have done more with her. But this was already a big book, so adding more really wasn't an option. -_-

Yeah, as heroes, their reputations precedes them and bitch slaps criminals into a state of stark terror.

I find it very funny that when they went into the bar everyone up and ran away. I guess people are starting to listen to the trouble this team causes.

I guess the 'normals' is better than team 'the retards'.

I regret that Su was only a bit character, but for her brief scene she helps reveal a little about herself and about Dale. But I still feel a temptation to write a short story expanding on Su and Dale's relationship, just because I find Su so very likable.

The role of Mayor of City is a dangerous job, as villains of many stripes are always plotting to kill them. You'd have to be crazy to WANT to be the mayor of City, and usually the candidates are a few cards shy of a full deck. So you can be sure that even if Terry and crew do the right thing and leave him be, someone will do the museum a favor in a few days/weeks/months.

Ah Dale has a girlfriend, and it's nice that she understands him and that probably helps him relating to others a little.

Su is a nice person and a telepath, and I can understand why she would be worried. Dale at least has the colar that will protect him, though I worry about him burning them out.

At least they got paid for the art that Dale made, and maybe the mayor should try not to cut them to much. Or he could become a statue if he isn't careful.

It is allowing me to get some old memories cleared out and dealt with, but it's also giving me a chance to balance out all the bad stuff with little reminders that life as a kid didn't always suck. Mostly it did, but there were some times worth remembering.

In a way, I really wish I could sell a story like this. it's been unflinchingly honest, showing how every character is flawed and abusive in some ways. But it also shows how even "messed up" people can still have normal lives and keep most of their problems hidden for so long. I think it's far more honest about modern life than most people want to think about, and that's a shame. Because the first step to talking about a problem is admitting that it's there in the first place. People wouldn't see that I was talking about the problem. They'd see it as romanticizing the symptoms. So it won't work. =^/

Sometimes we don't write to be read. Sometimes we write for catharsis, and this sounds like that. Maybe no one would want to read it, but it's probably doing you good to write it.

And Terry has at least did her best to reduce the end of these gliders, still Dale makes me laugh quite a bit here. And yes Terry and her band of heros will make more criminals run for the hills than MM. I am sure he hasn't killed anyone since the day he came back.

And that is quite a statement that Dale made, I agree with Terry on this one: I snorted. “I just think it’s funny that he has a shaft bearing the name Rosy Palmer shoved up his ass.”

Hopefully Dale feels good about what he is doing, maybe he will catch the one that hurt his grandma. Then again we don't know when that was.

My muse has mostly been kind to to me, but every once in a while she drops a story on me that I'd rather not do because there's no audience for it. But even if there's no audience for this story, I'm writing it. It's at least got me interested in seeing where the marriage goes.

I'm near the 20k point, and the characters are growing on me. But even if I'm starting to like them, my inner editor is still cringing and saying, "No way will anyone want to read this shit. It's simultaneously boring AND offensive."

And that's a good trick, in my opinion. So I want to write it, even if my instincts say that no one will want to read it. I'll keep it up until my muse runs out of steam, or until I get too bored with the story to go on. Or until I reach the sad ending, whichever comes first.
