I have returned…sorta…

Yes, I’m already back to work on one of my WIPs. That’s the good news, but the bad news is, I’m not yet ready to start posting up new serial fiction yet. Between the 3 WIP projects and the backlog of stories to edit, I can’t do all this work while I’m also editing chapters to post online. Something has to give, and for now, I’m letting the posting schedule go. From what I’ve heard from readers, most are still catching up anyway, so I can afford to take a break.

I’ve got plans to look at my site and decide on a full upgrade with a new interface, or just a minor change with some extra sidebar buttons that would go on certain pages. (But not on the whole site) I was gung ho for the new interface, but in thinking about most of the changes, I can’t see a reason why I’d need to make buttons in the overhead interface for them. Eh, I might update the picture on the main page, maybe. Oh, and add a link to this journal from the main page. Don’t mind me. I’m just thinking in text.

I may also be attempting an episode of Infinitely Stupid, but not The Horatio Glasses, as I’d been saying for a while now. The problem is, I need a good finish for the skit, and being that I have to play all of the characters in back and forth camera shots, it’s a lot of work with no punch line yet. So I will set it off to the side for “someday.” In the meantime, I’ll try to start recording episode 5: “Oh, my Gosh!”

Now that I’m back home, hubby wants to keep me exercising, so we’re heading out for evening excursions. In fact we’re due for a walk in a few minutes. So I’ll wrap this up with a pair of short bar blogging notes.

First, I added two Amsterdam butterscotch hard candies to a few ounces of polish vodka last night, and the end result was intense. Not too sweet, but very buttery without overpowering the bite of the vodka. I liked it! ^_^

The other experiment I started last night was learning how to infuse sugar cubes with wormwood using a tincture. What I’ve learned so far is, there is a balance that must be kept during the process. If I use too little tincture, not all of the sugar is infused with wormwood. If I saturate the cube, the crystals begin to break down and melt. So, I have 2 cubes that are still mostly cube-shaped, and another which is…kinda melty.

Okay, time for my walk. I’m still sorting out some details for scanning in my paper travel journal, but don’t worry. I have plenty of vacation pictures and journal entries to share with you from the trip. It will be just like when your aunt Ethel and uncle Ned set up the vacation slideshow, but without the Heineken farts. =^p
